Around The Web On TEFL: June 16

  • California Governor Schwarzenegger’s advice for learning English make the International Herald Tribune…though not in positive light.
  • The Mandarin immersion program in a public school in Palo Alto which aroused such debate got the all clear to start.
  • Are there future long-term effects of teaching young children for the teacher, when it’s not so much his/her thing?
  • Larry Ferlazzo is one of the top linkers to useful EFL/ESL sites, so why not check out his Top 10 Websites for June.
  • The teaching of English, which is (or at least strikes me as) a fairly controversial theme in the non-Hindi-speaking parts of India, is in the news for the state of Karnataka.

Hi, Katie,

Thanks for highlighting my blog again in your posts and thanks for your consistently interesting other posts. Unfortunately, Edublogs (which is great and hosts my blog) is down for a long-scheduled maintenance this weekend, but it should be back sometime tomorrow.

If people don’t want to wait to see the Top Ten list, though, I’ve also posted it on my website at:
