• An insightful take on English language in Malaysia: where the country’s official language - Malay - “fails” (ie not everyone from different national backgrounds speaks it), English prevails (it is often the language used between people of different backgrounds).
• English seems to be a big deal in North Korea.

• A French major on the value of learning a foreign language, even when it is not absolutely necessary for your work and “everyone” speaks your language anyway.
