02482921.jpgLooking to experience another culture AND soak up some sun while you work? Here are the TEFL Logue’s Top 10 sunny countries with links to relevant job listings and blogs.

1. Moroccojob links courtesy of Tefl.com.

2. Indonesia
Mark’s ESL World provides the ad for a position in an English First chain school.

3. SpainThese ads (which you can apparently only get to by doing a search for Spain yourself) from Dave’s ESL Cafe are likely geared towards teachers with passports from EU countries…but word is that “unofficial” opportunities do in fact exist for others.

4. Saudi Arabia – ?? It sure is hot and ads like these you get when you search for Saudi Arabia on ESL Base are common. Get a better idea of what it’s all about right here on the TEFL Logue.

5. Italy – Tefl.com provides no less than 27 ads for work in Italy. Okay, okay, it’s not hot everywhere in Italy…but it’s still Italy. Sue of ELT Notebook is currently working in Italy.

6. Thailand – Once more thanks to Tefl.com. Also check out Jamie’s Phuket, the blog of a teacher on one Thai island, (courtesy of TedKarma of TEFLDaddy fame, to see what it’s like to live and work here.

7. Mexico – ESL Base shows these jobs when you search for Mexico. LanguageCorps participant Anna is located in Oaxaca; find some interesting political and cultural happenings in her Journal From Oaxaca.

8. Malaysia – Mark’s ESL World has the one job ad for IH Malaysia. For more on working for International House, go no further than this posthere at the TEFL Logue.

9. Brazil – Big country, long coast line, four job posts on Tefl.com…for all of South and Central America.

10. Greece – Once more Tefl.com saves the day with this listing of Greece jobs. Once more these jobs are geared towards those with passports from EU countries. Teacher Dude’s BBQ and Grill is quite a good blog about the experiences of an EFL teacher in Thessaloniki.

Of these fine locations, TEFL Logue sponsor LanguageCorps offers teacher training and placement in Mexico and Thailand (as well as a whole host of other countries, two of which, Costa Rica and Ecuador, also sound hot.)
